In what sometimes seems like an atmosphere of all-pervading gloom, could there actually be some brighter news for small law firms on the professional indemnity insurance front? At a recent conference held by the Law Society’s Sole Practitioners Group, there was a dedicated session on professional indemnity insurance. And, as reported on lawgazette.co.uk, news was revealed of two new ‘A’ rated insurers who are apparently on the point of entering the market, offering the prospect of greater choice and lower premiums. However, one note of caution was sounded. Firms that rely heavily on conveyancing work are still going to find it tough to get the Professional indemnity insurance cover they need. |
