Canada is full of picturesque and diverse scenery, a vibrant people and culture. Within the past ten years Canada has witnessed a rapid change and a colossal increase in interest both from tourists and realty investors, largely as the country chose a market-oriented policy. As well as most other countries, Canada offers a great selection of "home" options. Below are some of the accommodations for you to consider: - A room for rent. Some individuals who own a house or an apartment may rent out separate rooms in those dwellings. Yet, the bathroom(s) and the kitchen are shared by all tenants. - A studio. These apartments are small-sized and were initially designed for only one person. Most consist of a single large room – that includes a kitchen and a bedroom – and a separate bathroom. - An apartment. Bigger apartments are also available. These can range in size from one to three bedrooms. They also consist of separate bathrooms, living rooms and kitchens. - A duplex. A duplex is a single home that has been split into two separate living areas, each area being separated from the other. Yet, the residents may have a shared yard or driveway. - A townhome. Townhomes are small-sized houses which are built in rows, thus forming a chain. Most of the homes in the chain are similar in appearance. - A house. The Canadian real estate business offers houses of all shapes and sizes. You can also choose to have a house built specifically to your specifications on a lot. - A condominium. Condominiums are basically apartments or townhouses that are owned, not rented. Owners are responsible for all of the internal upkeep on the property and must pay property taxes. They also pay a condo association fee that covers the costs of outdoor upkeep. Besides these options, there is another important choice you need to make: furnished or unfurnished. Furnished accommodations mean that all of the necessary furnishings - such as beds and chairs - are included in the living area. Furnished accommodations may be a good option when you are immigrating to Canada from a faraway country, because the cost of transporting your own couches and beds could be rather pricy. Nonetheless, most people decided on an unfurnished "home" to be able to decorate in a manner they see fit. Some unfurnished accommodations will still come with refrigerators and stoves in the kitchen. Yet, housing costs vary greatly, even within the same province. By doing some research and focusing on areas outside major cities, you can save money on housing.
