Council proposals to transfer playgrounds could have Public Liability Insurance

Proposals are being considered by the borough council to transfer responsibility for all the playgrounds in Haverhill to local community groups or town/parish councils. However, the proposed move raises a number of questions. As reported on haverhillecho.co.uk, several of them were raised by the chairman of the Parkway Residents Association at a recent council meeting. Apart from issues around funding, maintenance and training, groups considering taking over a playground would want to be clear about the Indemnity insurance position.
